Physical Requirements
For Male Applicants:
- Male applicants must be at least 1.65 metres tall and have a minimum chest measurement of 0.87 metres
- Not be less than 1.7 metres in height, for male and 1.64 metres for female. Have a fully expanded chest measurement of not less than 0.87 metres, male
For Female Applicants:
- Female applicants must have a minimum height of 1.60 metres
Educational Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) with 4–5 credits including English and Mathematics
- At a minimum, applicants must possess a senior secondary school certificate with four or five credits, including English and Mathematics
Advanced Qualifications:
- Applicants with NCE, OND, HND, B.Sc. or higher degrees in relevant fields such as law, engineering, medicine, or technical trades are encouraged to apply
Additional Requirements
- Medical Certificate: Be certified by a Government Medical Officer to be physically and mentally fit for appointment in Service
- No Disability: Not be suffering from any form of physical or mental disability
- State of Origin: Present a certificate of state of origin signed by the Chairman/Secretary of their Local Governments. Certificates endorsed by Liaison officers are unacceptable
